Order of consideration

Strategizing: Theory and Practice publishes authentic research articles, reviews, short scientific reports, news, and information summaries on various issues of strategizing.

By submitting your manuscript, you confirm your responsibility for its content. You confirm that the manuscript is an original, previously unpublished research that you have not submitted for publication to any other journal, be it in Russian or in any other foreign language.

Authors bear full responsibility for any illegal use of intellectual property or violation of copyright in accordance with the current legislation.

However, authors are free to post the initial draft of their manuscript on such public preprint servers as bioRxiv, arXiv, or in any repository for their research field. In this case, they should inform the Journal about it and provide a link to the preprint. However, they cannot post their article on preprint servers if it has already been published by the Journal Strategizing: Theory and Practice or improved to meet the requirements of the Editorial Board or Reviewers, as it might be regarded as a duplicate publication. When citing an article published in Strategizing: Theory and Practice, please make sure that the link leads to the official page of the article on the Journal's website.

The Corresponding Author is responsible for communication with the Editors and ensures that all their requirements are met. The Corresponding Author should be able to promptly answer any questions of the Editors and provide any information they require.

The Corresponding Author shall guarantee that all the co-authors have seen the final version of the manuscript, approved it, and agreed to its submission for publication in the Journal.

Manuscripts submitted for publication should meet all the formatting requirements. Editors do not consider manuscripts that violate the formatting requirements.

Any manuscript submitted to Strategizing: Theory and Practice is checked for the topic and formatting requirements. After that, the manuscript is registered, and the Corresponding Author will receive the submission confirmation within 14 days.

Please make sure your manuscript contains no unattributed borrowings because all manuscripts are checked for borrowings from open sources (plagiarism) at www.antiplagiat.ru and www.ithenticate.com.

Approved manuscripts then go to the Editor-in-chief, who evaluates their data validity, authenticity, grounds of factual evidence, completeness, representativeness, composition, logics, and stylistic quality. The Editor-in-chief  appoints two Reviewers. Having been approved by the Editor-in-chief, the content submitted for publication undergoes reviewing.

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review, which means that the Authors do not know the Reviewers, and the Reviewers do not know the Authors. The Editors guarantee a confidential, independent, honest, and objective review with no conflict of interests.

The double-blind peer review can be conducted by the members of the Editorial Board or by acknowledged academic experts in the area of research who have recent publications on the related topic.

The Reviewers shall provide an objective peer review. Any personal criticism of the Author is unacceptable, as provided by the COPE protocol.

The Reviewer defines the type and content of the article; evaluates whether the manuscript is relevant for the scientific community, possesses scientific novelty and practical significance, corresponds to the profile of the Journal; checks the text for consistency and reliability of research results; decides if the title corresponds to the content; assesses the quality of the illustrative material and references. Based on the results, the Reviewer produces a reasoned opinion: the manuscript can be recommended for publication; the manuscript can be recommended for publication after some improvement; the manuscript cannot be recommended for publication.

The Journal only publishes the manuscripts recommended by the reviewers.

If the article underwent a considerable revision, it is again sent to the Reviewer who gave the critical remarks.

In case of two negative reviews, the manuscript is rejected.

The Author of the rejected article receives a motivated refusal without Reviewer's name unless the former gives consent to it.

Reviews are disposed of five years after the publication. Editors are obliged to provide Review copies to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation upon request.

After reviewing, the  Editor-in-chief or the Editorial Board make the final decision.

Manuscripts are usually printed in the order they were received by the Editors. In exceptional cases, the Editorial Board maintains the right to change the order of publication.

The  Editor-in-chief approves of the content of each issue. All texts undergo stylistic and grammatical editing. The layout of the manuscript is sent to the author for approval.

The authors are not expected to pay any publication fees. The Journal neither pays reward nor provides free author’s copies.

The Editorial Board does not retain rejected articles. Accepted manuscripts are not returned. The manuscripts with negative reviews are not published and not returned to the author, either.
